Air Permeability Tester

Our Air Permeability Tester is used for fast, and accurate determination of air permeability of all kinds of fabric materials, making it suitable for laboratory use as well as for measurements directly in the production area. There are several applications where having a construction that allows air to pass through is advantageous. Filters for combustion engines and air conditioning units must establish a barrier against very minute particles (and in certain cases bacteria and pollen), while also having a high enough air permeability to maximise the effectiveness of the mechanism they protect. The process of bringing air into an engine, for example, uses energy, reducing available power and increasing fuel expenditures. Air permeability measurements can be used to assess the declining efficiency of filters over time and anticipate the working life of a filter. The right filter design can extend engine life and improve performance.
